I Write About Franchising At Business.Gov

Who's Recommending The Franchise King®

  • “I'm recommending Joel Libava because he is one of the smartest people around when it comes to making a franchise work profitably. His eBooks are spot on and written with first-class advice. Most importantly, though, is the fact that Joel absolutely knows the business and works his butt off to make sure people are going in the right direction. If I ever run a franchise he's the first person I'll be calling for advice.”- John Sternal, Co-Owner, Sternal Consulting

Thomas,

Thank you for your comment, and also for supporting my blog-by subscribing to it-and reading my posts..

I hop that those young, energetic franchisees stay on long enough to realize what they really have!

That's an interesting article. Showhomes is in the home staging business and we recruit people to live in big, vacant homes. Internally, we want candidates to be over 25 for maturity reasons. As far as franchise sales, the younger owners are in their early 30s. These seem have a lack of basic business skills and money management experience and take some work from skilled operations staff to ramp up. That said, they are often far more energetic and have a serious drive and a few have become top performers for us. In the end, you have to look at each candidate carefully and assess what they can and may not be able to do.
