We could be reaching the bottom. The bottom of this down economic cycle, that is.
I hope that I am right.
Just in case we have not reached the bottom, there is a recovery plan already in place for the franchise industry. I'll just bet you didn't know that.
The Internationa Franchise Association has formally proposed one.
Go here to see what The IFA is proposing
What do you think? Is it a good plan? Will it energize the franchise industry?
Do you have a plan?
What else do we need???

There are many of us out here who want to get this economy moving and help people realize the American Dream of business ownership through franchising. So how do we band together to let Congress know that without financing, the economy will reamin stagnant. Any ideas?

Financing Franchise Opportunities is the most important factor. It is of paramount importance that this type of funding is renewed otherwise it may harm future business growth.

Nikki,
You are right! If the banks don't start lending, our economy will not grow, again!

The IFA is right on! The biggest challenges today revolve around financing. People who would have qualified for SBA loans 12 to 18 months ago, now don't qualify. This country was built on small business. That is exactly what franchisees, and actually most franchisors, are. It helps to have a model that appeals to some financing institutions. Loosen up financing and the country starts moving again.
