A REAL Green Franchise Opportunity; Being On The Cutting Edge Is Nothing New For This Franchisor

                                                                                                                                                  

The color green. It seems that in the past 2 years or so, it's everybody's favorite. Personally, I still like blue. But, I do like things that are green. Like solar energy, or recycling.

With the current state of the economy, and the large number of job losses currently taking place, more and more people are thinking about being their own boss. A lot of these folks have been through downsizings in the past, and are tiring of the job search shuffle.

Are you one them? Have you been through this before? Are you sick of not being in control of your own future? Are you at least thinking about alternative career options?

I have worked with a franchise company out of Atlanta for several years now, and have always liked the way they do business. They seem to be ahead of their competitors when it comes to innovation. This time, it has to do with the color Green... 

Franchise Marketing. Street Level Branding, KFC Style. Tacky Or Brilliant?

Now this is pretty innovative. It started in Kentucky, but may end up everywhere that KFC's "finger lickin good" products are sold.

Kentucky Fried Chicken Franchise President Roger Eaton is moving forward on a real street level marketing initiative.  

In some parts of the country, the weather reeks havoc on the roads, creating huge "potholes." These potholes destroy tires, wheels, and vehicle suspension systems yearly, which cost cash strapped consumers hundreds if not thousands of dollars in repairs.

Mr. Eaton is willing to repair some of the potholes, but there is a caveat. The KFC logo must be chalked on the repair area.

What do you think? Look at the picture. Good marketing ploy, or just plain tacky? Please let me know your honest opinion....

I recently read John Wuebben's book, and loved it! It was a fast read, and very well put together. One of the first thoughts I had, was that motivated local franchise owners of any type of franchise could use the tips in John's book, and put some content {articles} out that have a local flavor.
