Widgets have been around for a short while now, and are becoming a great way to "one-click" things to websites and blogs. A lot of Widgets are so easy to work with that blog software like the Typepad one being used here, can pick them up without you having to do any code stuff, i.e. copying and pasting.
Anything that saves time is valuable nowadays, including the book written by David Allen.
Getting Things Done, or {GTD} as it is called, is one that George Nemeth of Brewed Fresh Daily fame swears by, and I need help organizing my professional and personal life. Technology is winning, but I will catch up!
Here is a newer Widget gallery/tool, I just found.
Here is their info:
In 2006, the idea of Widgipedia
was born when a handful of our developers and producers began building
widgets in their spare time. It wasn’t long before they noticed that
most popular widget sites were dedicated to specific platforms only,
often limiting the rich selection of available widgets across all
platforms. This and a lack of collaborative resources to help
developers increase their widget making knowledge led to the creation
of Widgipedia as you know it
today.
Check it out!
